RESULT CHAIR BLACK POWDER COATED STEEL - BLACK

1.749 DKK

Created to be adaptable, light and strong, the Result Chair and Pyramid Tables are the last word in cutout sheet steel construction. Originally created by Friso Kramer and Wim Rietveld while working at Ahrend in the 1950s, the collection has been relaunched by HAY together with Ahrend. When initially launched in the ‘50s, it was regarded as a triumph in its innovative use of sheet steel, giving new direction for use in organically shaped products. Today, both as individual pieces and as a collection, it is notable for its sparing use of materials, simplistic construction and for being light enough to move around. These lasting designs manifest functional excellence and aesthetical lightness that have been proved in real environments over several generations. The Result Chair features a thin steel-sheet base with an oak seat and backrest, retaining maximum flexibility, lightness and strength, yet keeping the design minimalistic. Originally a popular chair in schools in the 1950s, Result’s clean aesthetics and durability mean it can be used in many public and private contexts. Available in a variety of wood finishes and base colours that can be coordinated with the Pyramid Table.

RESULT CHAIR / Story

The Result Chair (1959) is a design that has endured, proving the worth of the ideas that were initially put into their creation. Designed by Wim Rietveld and Friso Kramer, Result uses the cutout sheet steel construction method of manufacture to create a chair that is adaptable, light and strong. Created to last a long time, you can still find Result chairs produced in the 50s and 60s in use today.

Friso Kramer and Rolf Hay

“The Result Chair is one of the most famous designs from Friso Kramer and Wim Rietveld. We instantly knew that this collaboration has a unique potential, making these Dutch design icons available again, not only to corporate clients whom we are used to serve, but also to the domestic market around the world. The mutual respect for these eternal designs is the cornerstone of this inspiring venture.” Eugène Sterken, CEO of Ahrend
