"Originally when we first started talking with SONOS we discussed doing a pattern on the speakers. But HAY isn’t just one pattern or one color it is a lot more than that. 

The yellow color was very inspired by kitchens and bathrooms where things can often be light colors, stainless steel and porcelain.

For the green we wanted something that looked like pots or plants in the window frames where you could also place the Sonos in green and it would blend in." Mette Hay

"The light grey was for everyone, but it was important to find the right shade. We felt it was a shade that is for both a workspace or is more neutral in a home and can fit with a lot of different looks.

Pink was intended for the fashionable person. We feel that all things unexpected in pink create a special desire right now.

The red was the final color I selected for the collection it is such an important color for furniture. When we had to select a color we selected an iconic red that also fits well with our New Order shelf from Stefan Diez." Mette Hay
