New Order 2.0 has been adapted and developed to fit the ever-changing demands of the work environment. Together with the HAY team, Stefan Diez has elevated the functionality and quality of the entire New Order System by extending the long list of customizable parts and accessories. The innovative modular system’s components now include tables in a range of heights, as well as steel doors, drawers and panels that can be added without tools and still withstand the everyday use of a busy office. Accessory elements such as, cable management, textile panels, trolleys, sheet metal shelves, lighting components and screens have also evolved, and are adaptable to specific spaces and needs. An unlimited amount of combinations and size possibilities allows the New Order System to grow together with your workspace.

Stefan Diez is a Munich based German industrial designer who founded his studio in 2003. The son of a cabinetmaker, where he received his first training, his approach to design is always firmly rooted in the workshop, where he gets to indulge his passion for material experimentation. He is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Stuttgart and his products have received international acclaim, including winning the iF Gold Award and the Red Dot best of design award. Diez takes a future facing approach to design, advocating the notion that design should be about creating durable quality products for generations to come. Diez is an exacting designer, a strong generator of ideas and is always rigorous in his quest to fathom the true practicalities of furniture production. For HAY, he has designed the New Order Shelving System, the New Order Table and Rope Trick.
